When hunger strikes and you are on Melrose, there is now a great glatt kosher place to go to. The owner, Yoel, is a very sweet Jew, who is always in a good mood. Asked him, what happened? How did you expanded the place so nicely? He replies “it’s only to make another Jew feel happy”. The place have an Israeli touch to it. The Shawarma Lafa was pretty good, and made a great lunch. It tasted like the name of the place “Ta-eem” (Tasty).
For sure going back there.

It started with Kosher Subway’s next door neighbor YOGO ( a frozen yogurt shop that served pretty bad frozen yogurt, started as Cholov Israel, went Cholov Stam, and closed it’s doors 2 months ago), and continued with waking up this morning to see the following status on Facebook from Kenny Lowenstein, a friend, and a former mashgiach of Kosher Subway:
Right on Pico where Delice Bistro used to be, a new Burger Bar is forming up. It’s not yet open to the public but the sign is up and it shouldn’t take too long to set up. We are looking forward to it! If they will be able to bring the Israeli high-end burger scene to Pico, a lot of people will be happy. 8581 West Pico Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90035
